Youth Cricket Academy

Through various sponsors and donations KTV raised a substantial amount of money that was in turn donated to the Khayalethu Youth Centre. The Khayalethu Youth Centre and KTV had a cricket and soccer day at the YCA. The YCA brought in ten of its coaches and divided the boys into training groups and sent each group off with their own coach to the nets to learn more about the game of cricket and have their skills improved on. After the net practice they played a game of cricket, to put into practice what they had been taught. The boys were then treated to a sit down lunch of burgers and chips, provided by the YCA. The afternoon was devoted to soccer. The YCA director, Glenn Bester, gave the boys a demonstration and a few tips before letting them play a game of soccer on the back field. The highlight of the day was seeing the KTV hand over a considerable check to the Khayalethu Youth Centre. Both the Khayalethu Youth Centre and the YCA got some valuable exposure on KTV.
