Youth Cricket Academy

On Tuesday, 25 March 2008, the YCA competed against Scotland u/15 in a evenly contested affair. Scotland won the toss and batted first. Freddie Cox got 110 in for Scotland in setting the YCA a challenging total of 245 to get in their 50 overs. The YCA had the run rate under control, but lost too many wickets, and when Felix Bekker got out for 81, the YCA side were bowled out for 210 giving Scotland a 35 run win.

On Wednesday, 26 March 2008, the YCA competed against Scotland in a 20/20 aside contest. The YCA won the toss and posted a very respectable 159/5, with Henk Fourie getting an undefeated half century. Scotland lost too many early wickets in the run chase and ended up getting bowled out for 110. Gregory Kennedy was the pick of the YCA bowlers picking up 3 for 12. Felix Bekker, the YCA keeper ended up taking 3 stumpings and a runout. The YCA beat Scotland by 49 runs.
